Workshop Information
This hike is 15 miles long and gains 2,200 ft.
Whether you're an avid hiker or entry level backpacker, this trail is sure to boast share worthy views. With nearly every mountain in the cascade range in view, this hike is nothing short of spectacular! Alpine lakes, fresh wildflowers, and panoramic views of the Milky Way. What more could you ask for?
The trail is easy and well maintained, with little rocks, roots, and other hazards. It is not very steep and you gain elevation at a mellow pace. The only reason this is labeled as difficult, is because of the length of the hike, and a short scramble up the creek bed to finish the hike.
Workshop Program
To allow for maximum exploration we will meet at the Todd Lake trailhead at 10 am. After a short discussion and review of preparations, we will begin our hike. We will always try to control the pace so it is pleasant for everyone and assign a good time for each hike so we will not be in a rush. Hike time averages around 3 hours.
Once we arrive we will set up camp and begin preparations for an incredible evening of warm sunsets and star filled skies!
PLEASE NOTE: You will be responsible for carrying everything you personally need to our desired location. That includes food, water, shelter, and camera equipment. A more detailed list will be sent out upon sign-up.
Fitness Level: Advanced
Hiking in these areas is extremely rewarding when it comes to photography. Its an essential aspect of this trip, and truly a way to give you a unique perspective. The hike itself is about 2-3 hours each way (8 miles). You need to be able to carry all your camera gear, food, shelter, water, and clothes. Most of the hike does not have a steep ascent but can still be demanding. You are the only person who will be able to judge if you are up to it or not. Everything worth doing is worth fighting for. Trust me, it'll be worth it!

We do not set out a specific course guide as we will react to the conditions we are presented with on the day. Rain or shine, the adventure continues! The most beautiful things in life, happen for the shortest amount of time.
If you would you like a private post-processing lesson after the workshop or you can't make it to the party, Private Lessons are available upon request.
